Day 10

PICTURE: group names. My students' desks are arranged in groups. We change every 6 weeks. The new groups have to come up with a name, logo, and color for their group. Here are the new ones! I always get a kick out of them.


READING: Genesis 32-35. So, I've read about the deception between Jacob and Esau. Esau basically turned his birthright over to Jacob for some stew. Jacob deceived their father, Isaac, into getting Esau's blessing. Esau was ticked. In Chapters 32 and 33 Jacob heads off to meet Esau. I was thinking, "this isn't gonna be the best of reunions." I love Genesis 33:4 "But Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him; he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him." That is awesome. Esau could have attacked Jacob. He could have avoided Jacob. But he greeted him with EXCITEMENT! I think that is just awesome.
